CVIM reader Nigel Fletcher bought his 1984 Kawasaki ZllOO A3 back in May 1989 and since then hasn't seen many about at all...
"The bike was not ridden for 14 years due to me and my wife having a near-fatal crash on a Honda VFR750 in May 1991. Having kept away from bikes for all that time, we went to a show and I realised how much I'd missed the bikes. So I got home, got the polish out and the ZllOO came up looking great in no time. Got a new battery, filled her with juice and she started (having put fuel straight Into the pots).
"The carbs needed a clean in a sonic tank and float kits, then a full service on three calipers followed plus fork seals etc.
For the last five years it has run better than ever and is all original too.
"It pulls well and handles beautifully. I'd never sell it; it's been a part of me for too long. Most weekends It gets a run through the Brecon Beacons, stopping at all the bike meets along the way and always attracts attention."
