Ready Welder

AHANDY& PORIABLE MIG WELDER

There are four models of the Ready Welder, but each kit comes with everything needed to start welding except batteries. The welder can also be connected to CV MIG machines and CC arc stick machines

The Ready Welder is portable MIG welder that uses 12V automotive batteries as a source of power. The compact welder is small enough to store just about anywhere in a vehicle and is easy to use, making it a great choice for emergency repairs on the trail.

We've carried a Ready Welder around for a while and have had it packed under a front seat, bungee-corded to a fenderwell, and stuffed into an Action Packer. The versatility of the MIG gun also makes it a great welder for home and shop because it can be powered by AC current and used as a spool gun when connected to a welding machine. We found the Ready Welder to be a dependable trail welder in remote locations.

IThe Ready Welder is so compact it makes it a great choice to carry on trail runs, especially in smaller rigs like Jeeps. The MIG welder is versatile and can weld 22-gauge to V4-inch-thick steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.

3 Depending on the material welded, the Ready Welder can run off two or three 12V batteries for heavy material, or one 12V connected to one 6V battery for thin sheetmetal. The unit will weld in these battery combinations with a power output of 45 to 350 amps. A single 12V battery is not recommended for welding.

4 The gun is fully adjustable and will run wire sizes from 0.023 to 0.045 inch without changing rollers. The system runs flux-core welding wire but can also be connected to a gas bottle for solid-core wire MIG welding. The gun also uses common Tweco products tips, nozzles, and gas diffusers for easy replacement.
